At Deep Sea Guardians, we use different approaches to achieve our conservation goal and we strongly believe that education is a huge part of it, this is why we started our Youth Awareness Program.

Educating kids about sharks is essential for their protection.

It cultivates environmental awareness, dispels misconceptions, fosters empathy, inspires conservation actions, and prepares them to hopefully become the next generation of ocean guardians.

By empowering children with knowledge and a positive perception of sharks, we can help contribute to the long-term conservation of these incredible creatures and the preservation of our oceans.

INTERACTIVE PRESENTATIONS

The presentations are usually 45min long but they can be tailored depending on every establishments’s needs.

We always bring didactic material for the kids to interact with us during the presentation.

We show a mix of videos, images, graphics and physical objects to keep the students’s attention and make it as immersive as possible.

For now, the presentations are available in English and French.

EVERYTHING IS CONNECTED

For now, we have given a lot of presentations in Western Switzerland, a country that doesn’t have sharks or oceans, yet it is equally important for us to educate these kids as well.

We all depend on the oceans but the oceans also depend on every single one of us.

Our consumption choices and habits have an impact on the oceans worldwide no matter where you’re from, this is why we want to bring awareness to kids worldwide, even the ones that have potentially never ever seen the ocean.
