Join us on a once in a lifetime experience and find yourself face to face with great hammerheads, the tiger Shark Joker and bull sharks in Bimini, The Bahamas and Jupiter in Florida while learning photography and videography with our founder Zimy Da Kid !

When?
The expedition will take place from February 4th until february 11th, 2024 for 7 days of underwater adventures.
What?
Swim with the great hammerhead sharks, the tiger shark Joker, the bull sharks and the lemon sharks while learning videography and photography as well as shark conservation with local compagnies.
How many people?
For the best experience, we keep our group small with a maximum of 12 people.

Jupiter is home to some of the best shark diving in the United States.

The ultimate destination for scuba diving with the great hammerhead sharks !
Bimini, is probably the best place in the world if you want to scuba dive with the great hammerheads and have an amazing and close encounter with them.

WHAT WILL WE ENCOUNTER ?

The great hammerheads
Mako sharks and blue sharks are both highly interactive and curious pelagic shark species meaning that when we’ll jump in with them, we’ll be enjoying some amazing action for sure !

the tiger shark
Baja California is an amazing place where you can have close encounters with Whale sharks. They can usually be found feeding in the waters of the Sea of Cortez.

the bull sharks
Baja California has one of the largest and coolest Sea lions colony of Mexico. Sea lions are amazing animals to interact with since they are extremely playful.

the lemon sharks
The ocean is huge and full of mysteries and since we’ll spend a lot of time out there looking for animals, whatever we may cross path with, we’ll jump in the water with. For example Mobula rays, Orcas, Humpback whales, Dolphins, etc
The great hammerhead sharks
The Shortfin Mako is the fastest shark in the world but is also endangered because of the constant pressure of fishing boats that are constantly harvesting his territory. Baja California is one of the only place in the world where we can regularly find them.
Mako sharks are pelagic species meaning that they spend their entire life in the open ocean, far from shore !
In order to find them, we’ll head out at sea in key locations far from the coast that are only known by our local crew. Once there, the waiting game starts… Mako sharks are amazing predators and always hunting for the same kind of fish. Therefore, we’re using a specific type of chum that we know they like eating in order to have the highest chances of successfully attracting them.
Once they show up, we all get ready and slowly slide in the water to enjoy the show. Makos are amazing sharks to interact with. Being the fastest sharks in the ocean, they aren’t afraid of us in the water and can be super interactive with us which makes unique encounters !
We have a highly experienced crew and always collaborate with the best local shark divers for perfect safety in the water.
Joker, the tiger
Beside the sharks, Baja California and the Sea of Cortez is also known for Orcas encounters !
A family of Orcas is usually seen in these waters. The ocean is big and wild and we never know what to expect, therefore, we can’t 100% guarantee that we’ll see Orcas.
However, we’re in touch with a big community of ocean enthusiasts, marine biologists and fishermen meaning that if Orcas are seen in the area, we’ll be informed and we’ll do our best to find them and jump in the water for a once in a lifetime moment !

WORKSHOP
On all of our expeditions the interesting things won’t stop once we get out of the water.
During this expedition, film director and photographer Zimy Da Kid will give a photography and videography workshop that will help you improve your skills.
Workshop will include:
Filmmaking and photography basics
Underwater filmmaking and photography
Understanding light and composition
Video editing
Photography editing
Zimy will be here on the entire expedition to help you create amazing visuals in action !
Moreover, depending on everyone’s wishes and needs, the workshop content will be prepared to fit the guest’s expectations.
In order to do so, Zimy will contact each of the guests before the expedition to know what they’re most interested in learning !

During the week, our team Deep Sea Guardians will be here and will capture everything !
By the end of the expedition, all the guests will be given a full photo and video package that will include all the images captured by our team.
That way, even if you don’t have any fancy camera or if you don’t feel like shooting and just want to enjoy the dives, you’ll still be able to go home with the best memories ever !

DIVING PROGRAM
We’ll spend the first 4 days mainly looking for great hammerhead sharks and the Tiger shark. Day 6 will be spent at sea with a shark diving company in Jupiter to look for animals to dive with ! The 6th day will be spent with lots of underwater puppies: the Sea Lions ! On our last day, we’ll be looking for Whale sharks !

REQUIREMENTS
You don’t need any specific diving licence but you need to be confident in the open ocean and a good swimmer obviously. These activities are snorkel activities meaning that we will spend most of the time at the surface but if you are a into freediving, we’ll be more than happy to dive down with you and meet the animals deeper !

INSURANCE
A dive Insurance is mandatory for this trip, we recommend DAN (find more infos here).

GEAR
If you have your own gear, definitely bring everyhing with you: mask, snorkel, camera, fins and wetsuit ! Water can be a bit cold so we recommend bringing a 5mm or even 7mm wetsuit. If you don’t have anything, all the gear you need will be available on at the dive shop for USD 35.
PROGRAM
DAY 1 - February 4th 2024
You will take the ferry in Fort Lauderdale to Bimini (Valeria ferry) in the afternoon. It’s a 2 hours boat.
DAY 2 - February 5th-8th 2024
We’ll spend the whole day out at sea diving with the great hammerhead sharks, the tiger shark, Joker, if she’s around and the nurse sharks. End of the day, we will spend some times editing the shots.
DAY 5 - February 9th 2024
You will take the ferry from Bimini (Valeria ferry) to Fort Lauderdale in the afternoon. It’s a 2 hours boat.
DAY 6 - February 10th 2024
We will spend the whole day at sea swimming with the bull sharks and the lemon sharks.
DAY 7 - February 11th 2024
For our last day, we will go out to look for bull sharks and lemon sharks in the morning and then we’ll make our way back to Jupiter to wrap up this epic expedition !

Total price – 3’950 swiss francs
Conditions
A deposit of 1’500 swiss francs needs to be paid in order to book your spot.
The rest of the expedition price must be paid by November 30th 2023.
The expedition will happen with a minimum of 6 persons.
We want things to be fair for everyone. This is why in case of cancellation, we’ll fully refund the client if we have enough time to find someone else to take the spot.
